About Progress Cymru Counselling:

"Progress Cymru Counselling began over two decades ago as the LGBT+ Cymru Helpline. Founded in 2004 by our CEO Debbie Lane OBE, the organisation was born from a simple but powerful idea: to provide a safe, confidential space and support for the LGBTQ+ community in Wales.

Over the years, our service has been invaluable to the LGBTQ+ community. In 2006, we introduced counselling services to provide more in-depth mental health support, evolving from a volunteer-led helpline into Wales' only dedicated LGBTQ+ counselling charity.

Today, we are a growing SME with over 22 years of experience, driven by a mission to ensure every LGBTQ+ person in Wales feels seen, heard, and valued. We provide specialist, affirming care that understands the unique challenges faced by our community, whether through in-person sessions at our Swansea office or online counselling for those who can’t attend.

We are proud to hold the Trusted Charity Standard, a mark of our commitment to quality management and good practice. Our journey reflects two decades of dedication to pioneering accessible, specialist mental health support for LGBTQ+ people across Wales, and which has offer been a lifesaving service for many in our community."

Please note: this session will be recorded. All cameras and microphones will be switched off and attending this event will confirm your consent to the recording.

We look forward to seeing you there!
