Working through Trusted Standard's eleven quality areas enables you to assess how your organisation is doing and plan further improvements

Two phases to your Trusted Standard journey:

Phase 1: Self-assessment

Implement the principles of the Trusted Standard through self-assessment

Phase 2: External Accreditation

External assessment and awarding of the Trusted Standard

Phase 1: Self-assessment

Trusted Standard is implemented using our online self-assessment tool that helps your organisation to take a systematic look at what you do, identify what you do well and where you could do better.
You can use this as a foundation for planning, budgeting and allocating resources for making improvements.

Phase 2: External Accreditation

Once you have completed your self-assessment and implemented your Trusted Standard action plans, you can apply for the Trusted Standard accreditation.
This quality Standard is awarded following external assessment by an independent assessor and is a demonstration of excellence throughout your organisation. On accreditation, you have the choice of using the Trusted Standard or Trusted Charity Standard certificate and logo. Achieving the Standard also gives funders a clear indication of the quality of your work.
